Dr. Ameen Noaman Mohammed al-Qudsi took the constitutional oath today, Thursday, before His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) for being appointed as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Following the ceremonies, the President urged the Minister to reassess academic programs, ensure their quality and activate academic accreditation systems and institutional oversight in accordance with national and international standards.

The President also underlined the necessity of adopting a comprehensive reform vision for the higher education sector, based on rationalizing foreign scholarship policies and regulating their standards according to the state’s developmental priorities and labor market needs
