The Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan inaugurated Monday the healthy kitchen that will provide daily meals for male and female students in the districts of Sala, al-Mudhaffar and al-Qahirah.
Governor Shamsan toured the sections of the healthy kitchen, as well as the administration and staff working there.
He praised the school nutrition project and the provision of meals for students, which is being implemented with the support of the Hayel Saeed Anam Group in cooperation with the World Food Programme and the Human Access Association.
He indicated that the project employs 80 local staff and is part of ongoing efforts to provide healthy and motivating meals, aiming to reach 15,000 students in over 25 schools as a first phase, with plans to expand in the second phase to cover a larger number of students in schools.
For his part, the Director of School Nutrition at the Education Office in the governorate, Mahyoub Marsh emphasized the importance of the project, which includes 25 schools in the districts of Sala, al-Qahirah, and al-Mudhaffar as a first phase that can be expanded.
