GENEVA - SABA
An international exhibition titled Mirrors of the Shadow: The Unseen opened on Saturday at the United Nations Square in Geneva. The event was organized by the Humanitarian League for Rights in cooperation with the Cultural and Humanitarian Arts Caravan.

Held alongside the 62nd session of the Human Rights Council, the exhibition aims to draw international attention to the humanitarian situation in Yemen by documenting violations committed against civilians by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia through visual and artistic displays.

According to the organizers, the exhibition employs art as a human rights advocacy tool, presenting documentary works that portray the realities of the conflict in Yemen. Its various sections examine the disruption of state institutions, the worsening humanitarian crisis, attacks on vital sectors including education, healthcare, and the economy, as well as the environmental and social consequences of the conflict.

The exhibition also features a section described as The Stolen Memory, highlighting damage to Yemen's cultural identity and historical heritage. Organizers said the initiative seeks to provide the international community with a compelling visual testimony to the scale of violations taking place in the country.

At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the organizers called for stronger international accountability mechanisms and an end to impunity, warning that continued international silence has contributed to the deepening humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
