The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has stated that the inspection of any vessel by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism in Yemen (UNVIM) does not mean that it is safe from U.S. sanctions, especially those ships, entities and individuals providing material support to the Houthis.

Enhancing cooperation between Yemen, OPEC Fund for International Development discussed

Yemen's Ambassador to Austria, the Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna, Haytham shoja'aadin discussed with the President of the OPEC Fund for International Development Dr. Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa enhancing cooperation between Yemen and the Fund.

Ambassador Shoja'aadin praised the longstanding relationship between Yemen and the Fund since its establishment, particularly in supporting development efforts in Yemen.

He expressed Yemen's desire for the Fund to provide further assistance for various development projects, in addition to the humanitarian and relief initiatives already offered by the Fund.

He emphasized Yemen's commitment to fulfilling its obligations to the Fund.

For his part, the President of the OPEC Fund affirmed the organization's continued readiness to support various aspects of development in Yemen and to assist in maintaining this support in line with Yemen's development priorities.
