Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaibeh on Monday inaugurated a consultative workshop aimed at building national consensus on a hospital performance framework to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services across Yemen.
The workshop, organized by the General Directorate of Hospitals under the General Directorate of Medical Services in the Curative Medicine Sector in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), brings together 25 participants, including directors of public and private hospitals and health office representatives from the liberated governorates.
The event seeks to establish a shared national vision for evaluating hospital performance by examining the proposed framework from both national and international perspectives, assessing its key dimensions, identifying implementation priorities, and reviewing the challenges and opportunities associated with its adoption.
The initiative is intended to strengthen institutional performance and enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens.
Opening the workshop, Buhaibeh underscored the importance of bringing together key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive national framework for assessing and improving hospital performance in line with modern healthcare management standards.
