Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Maj. General Faraj al-Bahssani met today, Sunday, with the French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Jean Marie- SAFA.
The session aimed to discuss the recent developments in the Yemeni national scene and the prisoner-exchange process between the government and Houthi militias and the steps have been taken to maintain the truce.
Al-Bassani stated that the Presidential Leadership Council and the government are ready to deal constructively with any efforts to establish comprehensive and permanent peace.
He described the efforts have been led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to carry out a road map to make peace in Yemen as very welcome, reiterating the Presidential Leadership Council's support for all regional and international efforts to get the Yemeni crisis solved.
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the humanitarian aid provided by the French government to Yemen, pointing out to the projects which the French delegation announced about during its visit to the governorates of Aden, Hadramout and Lahj.
The French Ambassador has affirmed his government's support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the government's economic reforms and the peace process to reach a solution to the crisis in Yemen.
