The second day of the International Media Forum “Islamic Civilization: A New Perspective – New Discoveries” commenced today, Wednesday, at the Center for Islamic Civilization in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.

With the participation of nearly 300 figures from approximately 50 countries, the day’s agenda focuses on strategies for presenting Islamic civilization and its scientific and cultural heritage to a global audience through modern media. Discussions will also address leveraging digital technlogies and artificial intelligence to introduce the civilizational and historical legacy, alongside examining the media’s role in fostering intercultural dialogue and countering stereotypes and misinformation.

The forum’s program includes panel discussions and specialized sessions on utilizing new media to highlight the scholars and intellectuals who contributed to building Islamic civilization. It will also explore innovative formats for producing historical and cultural content, including documentaries, digital platforms, and cross-media projects.

The forum runs through 28 August and brings together leaders and representatives of media institutions, news agencies, television channels, and digital platforms, as well as documentary producers, filmmakers, researchers, and specialists in the creative industries and artificial intelligence. The event serves as an international platform for dialogue on the future of media coverage of Islamic civilization and its heritage.
