The European Union (EU), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Yemen have announced the signing of a 10 million euro (11.4 million USD) agreement to strengthen climate-resilient agricultural food systems, create jobs, build more sustainable livelihoods and boost economic recovery in Yemen.

Presidential Leadership Council Member, the Governor of Hadramout Salem al-Khanbashi, stressed the importance of unifying efforts and strengthening the spirit of cooperation and integration among the people of the governorates.

He emphasized the need to make use of the role of social figures, community leaders, dignitaries and notables in supporting the efforts of local authorities, consolidating security and stability, serving citizens, and advancing development across various sectors.

During his meeting today in the city of Mukalla with a number of officials, dignitaries, community leaders, and social figures from the governorates of Hadramout, Shabwa and al-Mahrah, al-Khanbashi stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation in ways that serve the people of the governorates and preserve security and stability.

The meeting addressed a number of issues and challenges facing the governorates, as well as the importance of integrating official and community efforts in addressing them.

It also discussed strengthening communication between local leaders and social figures in a manner that contributes to supporting stability, improving public services, and addressing priority issues.

For their part, the officials, dignitaries, and community leaders expressed their appreciation for the efforts of Presidential Leadership Council member and Governor of Hadramout, stressing the importance of maintaining communication and consultation and exchanging views on issues of common concern, in a way that strengthens integration among the governorates and contributes to serving citizens.
