Rights symposium reveals Houthis have committed more than 1,500 violations against journalists

A human rights symposium held at the Swiss Press Club in Geneva revealed that the terrorist Houthi militia had committed more than 1,500 violations against Yemeni journalists over the past eight years.

The symposium called on the international community to put pressure on the Houthi militia, to immediately and unconditionally release journalists sentenced to death, and to stop crimes and violations affecting journalists in all governorates of the Republic.

A member of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate, Nabil Al-Asidi, explained in a symposium organized by the Humanitarian League for Rights and the Dutch Center for Human Rights entitled (Houthi violations against freedom of opinion and expression, repression - kidnapping - trials - death sentences) that the Houthi militia committed more than 1,500 cases during the period from 2015 to 2022.
