Minister Noman Witnesses Saudi-Yemeni Education Cooperation Agreement

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Amin Noman on Tuesday witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening higher education and scientific research in Yemen.
The agreement, signed virtually, brings together the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen and Saudi Arabia's Najran University.
Najran University President Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Khudairi signed on behalf of the university, while Hassan Al-Attas, Assistant Supervisor General and head of the programme's development projects sector, signed for the Saudi programme.
The partnership will provide accredited training opportunities and support research, innovation and technical education, with a focus on equipping Yemeni students and institutions with skills that meet labour market demands.
Noman welcomed the initiative and praised Saudi support for Yemen's education sector. He said the agreement could lead to closer ties between Yemeni and Saudi universities and create new opportunities for academic exchange and cooperation.
