" Iran-backed Houthi militiamen have displaced more than 54 thousand during September and October from the districts of Rahabah, Hareeb, Mahiliah, al-Abdiah, Jabal Morad and al-Gobah".
His statement came as he met here today with Director of the UNICEF Office in Aden Charles Nazoki.
Meftah called on the UNICEF, other UN's agencies and all relief and humanitarian organizations to step-up efforts to relieve the large number of the newly IDPs who are in dire need of assistance.
" Un urgent relief and humanitarian actions are needed to support the unfortunate IDPs who are lacking food, shelter and other basic needs", said Meftah.
