The Sudanese army chief of staff has voiced support to Yemen's legitimate government under the leadership of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi in its struggle to establish its authority in the face of Houthi rebellion and build a secure modern Yemen.
In a meeting with Maj. Gen. Ahmed al-Shaanaa, the Defense Attaché at Yemen's embassy in Sudan, Col. Gen. Mohamed al-Hussein said Sudan would offer all kinds of support to the armed forces of Yemen as it counters radical religious organizations seeking to impose their religious convictions on the people by force and as it counters regionalist armed groups.
