Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Afrah al-Zouba discussed on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Yemen Janet Seppen ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and support the Yemeni government's development priorities and institutional reform agenda.

The two sides reviewed cooperation in the areas of water resources and climate change, emphasizing the importance of supporting Yemen's access to climate finance to address environmental challenges and enhance the country's resilience to the impacts of climate change.

They also discussed strengthening coordination between humanitarian and development efforts while reinforcing the government's leadership role in ensuring greater integration and long-term sustainability.

Minister al-Zouba reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations between Yemen and the Netherlands and underscored the government's commitment to expanding its partnership with the Dutch government.

She noted that the government is working to improve the effectiveness of partnerships with donors and development partners by directing assistance in line with national priorities and the government's reform plans.

The minister also outlined the government's national plan and key priorities for the coming period, particularly institutional reform, improving government performance and strengthening public-private partnerships.

For her part, Ambassador Seppen reaffirmed the Netherlands' continued support for Yemen's development and reform programs, praising the progress and achievements made by the government.

She also expressed her commitment to maintaining constructive dialogue and expanding bilateral cooperation in support of Yemen's development efforts and the mutual interests of both countries.
