Yemen's ambassador to Warsaw, MervatMujalli, discussed with the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Patricia OzganKarolivska the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them in various fields.

The two officialsdiscussed the latest political developments in Yemen. Mujalli stressed that the Yemeni government has been supporting the UN efforts to achieve peace with the Houthi rebels in accordance with the three agreed terms of reference.

She pointed to the rebels' continuous violations against civilians, the latest of which was a direct shelling of a fish market and a hospital in the city of Hodeidah which resulted in dozens of civilian casualties earlier this month.

She stressed that the government and the Arab Coalition countries led by Saudi Arabia are always keen to protect civilians whom the rebel militia insist on using as a human shield for them.
