His Highness (HH) Sheikh Hamad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Representative of Governor in Al-Dhafrah region, Chairman of Emirati Red Crescent (ERC) directed Wednesday to increase the ERC's activities in Yemen and further intensify relief actions and developmental projects in government-held regions, mainly the western coast.
In a telephone call he conducted to the Director of Humanitarian Operations of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Yemen Sa'eed Ali Khamis Al-Ka'abi Sheikh Hamdan stated that the UAE and its wise leadership are interested in humanitarian situations of the population who have been affected by the ongoing events in Yemen.
During his phone conversation HH was briefed on the ERC's underway efforts aiming to mitigate the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni peoples and improve their conditions.
Sheikh Hamdan noted that the ERC has asserted its existence in Yemen through establishing developmental projects that contribute toward improving basic services such as health, education, water and electricity.
