The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

The Emirati Red Crescent has distributed food aid to the people of special needs and destitute families and those of limited income in Ataq, the provincial capital of Shabwah.
The chief of the ERC branch in Shabwah said this was to satisfy the needs of the people and re-normalize the lives of families that had been suffering economic hardship.
He said the ERC is keen to continue implementing humanitarian projects in different parts of Shabwah province, as per the organization's aid delivery program.
