Government Committee Reviews Flood Damage in Districts of Taiz

The government committee assigned to assess flood damage headed by Minister of Local Administration Eng. Badr Basalama conducted Wednesday a field visit to review the extent of the destruction caused by floods in several areas of the districts of al-Mudhaffar, al-Qahira, Mocha Mawza and al-Wazi’iyah in Taiz Governorate.

Prime Minister Salem bin Braik conferred today, Thursday, with the United States Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin over political, security and economic developments, the government's efforts to normalize the situations and American role in supporting the government's efforts.

The Prime Minister cited the government's efforts to normalize the situations, to manage challenges and address pressing priorities.

He highlighted the need for the American key role in sustaining the government's efforts at this critical stage.

The conversations also touched on the planned Southern Dialogue sponsored by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The American Ambassador has confirmed Washington's support for the government's ongoing efforts aimed at managing challenges, consolidating stability and reinforcing state authority.
