Yemen Condemns Repeated Israeli Attacks Against Palestinians in West Bank
[18/06/2026 05:42]

ADEN – SABA
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned and strongly denounced the repeated attacks carried out by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including the crimes of setting fire to the Grand Mosque in the village of Jiljiliya and the al-Farouq Mosque in the village of Mazare’ Al-Noubani, north of Ramallah.

In a statement received by Yemen News Agency (Saba), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these illegal practices represent a blatant violation of the sanctity of religious sites, an unacceptable assault on the rights of Palestinian civilians and their properties, and a clear breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

It added that these actions contradict relevant international legitimacy resolutions and contribute to escalating tensions and undermining efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and peace in the region.

The statement renewed the Republic of Yemen’s call on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities toward the Palestinian people, work to halt the ongoing violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, and end settlement policies and unilateral measures that undermine opportunities for a just and comprehensive peace.

The statement reaffirmed the Republic of Yemen’s firm position in support of the legitimate and inalienable rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, foremost among them the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, fully sovereign state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
