Yemen took part on Friday in the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku, Azerbaijan, with a delegation led by Planning and International Cooperation Minister and Yemen's Governor to the bank, Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba.
Held under the theme "Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity," the meetings have brought together representatives of the bank's 57 member states, alongside international, regional and development finance institutions.

Participants are reviewing the Islamic Development Bank Group's annual performance and discussing ways to strengthen economic integration and development cooperation among member countries, with a focus on advancing sustainable development goals and addressing shared economic and development challenges.

Speaking on the sidelines of the meetings, Planning and International Cooperation Minister Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba stressed the importance of the annual gathering as a key platform for enhancing development partnerships and coordinating efforts between member states and international financial institutions.

She also underscored the need to support countries facing exceptional economic, humanitarian and development challenges, particularly Yemen, to help advance economic recovery, improve basic services and promote sustainable development.
