Aden-Saba
Presidential Leadership Council member Lieutenant General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi met with French Ambassador Catherine Corm-Kammoum in Aden to discuss the latest political, humanitarian, and economic developments in Yemen.
The meeting, attended by Head of the Consultative and Reconciliation Body Mohammed al-Ghaithi and member Dr. Nasser al-Khubaji, focused on coordinating joint efforts to support the government in implementing real reforms.
Al-Zubaidi emphasized the importance of activating sovereign resources and depositing all revenues into the Central Bank to enhance financial stability.
He also highlighted the crucial role the international community should play in supporting Yemen. The Ambassador reaffirmed France's condemnation of the Houthi militia's dangerous economic measures, including printing unauthorized currency, which exacerbates the economic crisis and deepens the monetary divide in Yemen.
The meeting also touched on France's humanitarian support to Yemen through the European Union, focusing on vulnerable groups affected by the humanitarian crisis. Al-Zubaidi praised France's support in empowering women and rehabilitating cultural infrastructure in Aden and other governorates.
