Yemen has participated in the annual meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, with a delegation headed by Foreign Minister Dr. Afrah al-Zouba.

Yemen’s Ambassador to Oman Dr. Khaled Shataif met Thursday with Omani Undersecretary for Political Affairs Sheikh Khalifa al-Harthy to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.
The meeting reviewed developments in Yemen and the recent Houthi escalation, including attacks on civilian sites, infrastructure, displacement camps and military positions that have caused deaths and injuries.
The ambassador highlighted the Presidential Leadership Council and government’s continued responsible and flexible engagement with peace initiatives despite the escalation.
Al-Harthy reaffirmed Oman’s firm support for Yemen’s security, stability, unity and territorial integrity, and its commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnership with the Yemeni government on issues of mutual interest.
