Minister of Education Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Monday with Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan a number of issues associated with health situation in Taiz and means of improving it.
The meeting touched upon evaluation of the current health situation in the province and defining the necessary needs to health facilitations, reopening cardiac center, operating cancer center and activating limbs center in Turbah city.
Buhaibeh stressed necessity of reference hospital in all every province and activating system of medical referring between hospitals, pointing out to the ministry's efforts for promoting health services and training cadre, as well as limiting brain drain of qualified cadre.
He confirmed significance of commitment of international and local organizations working in health field of coordination with the ministry for directing services in needy areas.
For his part, Shamsan reviewed challenges facing health sector and necessary needs for promoting medical services in the city's hospitals, which includes big numbers of displaced people.
