Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, has departed Aden for consultations with regional and international partners in Saudi Arabia.
The discussions will focus on developments in Yemen and the region, efforts to support economic and service reforms, and mitigating the humanitarian impact of Iran-backed Houthi terrorist attacks.
A source in the Presidency said the meetings aim to mobilize political and economic support for the government to fulfill its critical obligations, including salary payments, securing essential goods and services, stabilizing the national currency, and promoting economic recovery.
The President will engage in multilateral discussions to advance international support for the Yemeni people and their leadership in restoring state institutions, consolidating security and stability, and ensuring freedom of global navigation, which is facing unprecedented threats from Houthi terrorist militia and their backers.
The source expressed confidence in the government's ability to address challenges and meet the needs and aspirations of the Yemeni people.
