An official source in the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) welcomed the package of practical economic, financial and administrative decisions and measures taken by the Council of Ministers in its meeting today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital, Aden, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani, describing them as a step forward on the path of comprehensive reforms aimed at improving living conditions, enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, consolidating the principles of transparency and governance, and building an economic and administrative model capable of satisfying the aspirations of the people.

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'ed Badhib and the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries Salem al-Soqatri held a joint meeting today, Thursday, in the temporary capital Aden, with IFAD, FAO and the Social Development Fund (SDF).

The meeting aimed to discuss the key achievements of the first phase of the Rural Livelihoods Development Project and its contribution to achieving food security and mitigating the impact of crises and natural disasters that threaten the future of food security in Yemen.

The discussions also covered the ongoing arrangements for launching the second and third phases of the project, which target five governorates and include interventions in climate-resilient community infrastructure, the protection of agricultural livelihoods, and the increase of agricultural production.

It is important to note that the project has a budget of 32 million dollars, funded by the (IFAD), the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Global Program for Agriculture and Food Security.

The project will be carried out by the (FAO) and the Social Development Fund in collaboration with the Ministries of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, and Planning and International Cooperation, with an amount of 32 million dollars funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Global Environment Facility (GEF), and the Global Program for Agriculture and Food Security.
