President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi received Sunday here Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Yemen Ritchard Oppenheim discussing with him latest developments and international efforts for regaining peace and stability in Yemen.
President al-Alimi praised unique relations between the two friendly countries and the UK firm position towards Yemeni issue.
He confirmed welcome of Presidential Leadership Council and the government to initiatives and efforts aiming at realizing peace in Yemen in accordance with the three agreed upon references; the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution 2216.
For his part, the UK diplomat reviewed latest international developments in this context and chances of renewing UN Truce including guarantees to open roads to Taiz and other provinces and working on them to tackle other economic and humanitarian issues.
