'MASAM' removes 1273 Houthis-laid landmines in a week

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's Demining Project in Yemen, known as "MASAM" managed to remove 1273 of landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and improvised explosives devices (IED) in the fourth week of April 2026.

The Center reported that 105 anti-tanks and 3 anti-personnel landmines, 1157 UXO and 8 IED were removed from different Yemeni regions.

This brings total of landmines, UXO and IED removed in April to 5818.

It is important to note that since it has started its demining mission in 2018, MASAM removed 557,007 of landmines, UXO and IED. All landmines were planted randomly by the Iranian regime backed Terrorist Houthi Militias.
