The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen's Ambassador to Lebanon Abdullah al-Doays held talks with the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi in Beirut on Thursday.
Al-Doays acquainted the Patriarch on the Houthis' three years long coup and insurgency that has brought economic development to a halt and bred poverty, famine and epidemics.
He called on the Patriarch to assist the Yemeni government's efforts to end the rebellion and achieve peace in Yemen under the supervision of the United Nations and the 18 peace sponsoring countries.
The Patriarch expressed his support to all efforts aimed at achieving peace in the country.
