Prime Minister Dr Shaya Zindani launched Yemen's National Health Strategy for 2026–2030 on Sunday in the interim capital, Aden, describing it as a key milestone in the country's recovery and a roadmap towards a more resilient, equitable and sustainable health system.
He stressed the need to shift from emergency response and fragmented interventions towards sustainable recovery, institutional capacity-building and an integrated national health system led by state institutions.
Dr Zindani affirmed the government's commitment to supporting the strategy's implementation, mobilising resources and developing sustainable financing mechanisms, while calling on government bodies, international partners and the private sector to align their efforts with its priorities.
He emphasised that the strategy's success would be judged by tangible improvements in citizens' lives and the ability of health facilities to deliver essential services sustainably.
