The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) today launched a project to distribute 3,640 food baskets to the most vulnerable families and displaced people in Taiz governorate, as part of humanitarian interventions aimed at alleviating the suffering of affected families and enhancing food security.

The project includes the distribution of 2,200 food baskets in Taiz city and 1,440 baskets in Mokha district, benefiting thousands of people and helping meet their basic food needs.

Taiz Deputy Governor Mohammed al-Sanawi praised the humanitarian and relief role of KSrelief and its continued support for the most vulnerable families in the governorate. He also commended the efforts of Yamani Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works in implementing and delivering the assistance to its beneficiaries.

Al-Sanawi stressed the importance of continuing and expanding humanitarian interventions in Taiz, while strengthening coordination with local authorities and relevant bodies to ensure aid reaches targeted groups according to actual humanitarian priorities and needs.

The intervention forms part of ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts to support the most vulnerable groups in Taiz and improve living conditions for affected and displaced families.
