The US Embassy in Yemen has said that the continued terrorist Houthi militia's usage of a systematic pattern of hostage-taking, fabricated evidence, forced 'confessions,' and suppression of Yemeni voices is a blatant abuse of human dignity and
demonstrates that their isolation from the international community is a natural reply to their complete loss of credibility.
In a statement published by the embassy on its official X platform account, the US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin considered the fourth anniversary of the Houthi militias' detention of embassy staff a sad and regrettable anniversary.
He noted that the Houthi militias' continued illegal detention of Yemeni employees working at the US Embassy in Sana'a for the fourth year and their mistreatment is an act of calculated cruelty that defines their nature.
