The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged the Iranian-backed Houthi terror militia to free UN workers immediately, following the militia's arrest of 13 of the Organization’s personnel.
Guterres said in a statement published on the United Nations website, “This is an alarming development that raises serious concerns about the Houthis’ commitment to a negotiated solution to the conflict. The United Nations condemns all arbitrary detention of civilians.” Mr. Guterres also said. “I demand the immediate and unconditional release of all detained UN personnel.”
