Uganda defeated Niger 2-0 in their Group C match at the African Nations Championship, currently being held in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Allan Okello and Joel Serungogi scored for Uganda in the 25th and 56th minutes, respectively.
In another match in the same group, South Africa defeated Guinea 2-1.
South Africa's goals were scored by Nawu Miyama in the 10th and 54th minutes, while Moussa Camara scored Guinea's only goal in the 37th minute.
