FM emphasizes national cohesion against the Houthi threat

RIYADH-SABA
Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi has emphasized the importance of cohesion between all national stakeholders including the General People's Congress in the Russian against the threat of the Houthi radical rebel militia.

In a meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Yemen, Vladimir Dedushkin, in Riyadh on Tuesday, al-Mekhlafi said that the rebel militia affirm everyday that they are indisposed to peace and more inclined maintain their suppression of the Yemeni people and loot its resources.

He renewed the government's willingness for the UN proposed peace which is based on the three relevant terms of reference; the GCC Agreement, the UN Security Council resolution no. 2216 and the National Dialogue's outcomes.

The Russian diplomat asserted his country's support to the Yemeni government expressed Russia's readiness to offer all possible support for the government of Yemen.

Al-Mekhlafi highly appreciated the Russian stance and support to Yemen in political and humanitarian fields. The two officials discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them.
