The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Mukhtar al-Yafeai discussed today, Sunday, in the temporary capital Aden, with Deputy Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen Peter Ekayo joint coordination and humanitarian response mechanisms amid increasing crowds of displacement due to the military escalation by the Houthi terrorist militia on the western coast.

Marib Deputy Governor Lays Foundation Stone for Three Korean Funded Water Projects

The Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbo Meftah laid today, Thursday, the foundation stone for three water projects in the city and neighborhoods districts.

The total cost of the three projects is 650,000 US dollars, funded by Korea through the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The projects will be carried out by the branch of the General Authority for Water and Sanitation and the branch of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects in the governorate.

The Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of these sustainable projects in expanding the coverage of clean and safe drinking water services to include a number of new residential neighborhoods in Marib city and densely populated neighborhoods.

These projects are urgently needed to ease the suffering of displaced people and the host community in the governorate, which has received more than two million displaced people.
