Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba, met today with the Non-Resident Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Yemen Carlo Baldocci.
The talks covered the historical Yemeni-Italian relations, which the two countries are celebrating this year to mark the centenary of establishment them. On this occasion, the Italian Mr. Baldocci presented Dr. al-Zouba with a copy of the book "One Hundred Years of Italian-Yemeni Relations," which documents key moments in the history of relations between the two friendly countries.
They discussed aspects of cooperation in capacity building and training diplomatic personnel, protecting cultural heritage and the environment, managing ports, agriculture and fisheries.
The Italian initiatives and programs supporting development and humanitarian response in Yemen were also touched on .
