Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, Ahmed Arman, and Vice Foreign Minister, Mustafa Noman, met with a number of foreign diplomats accredited to Yemen to brief them on violence in Hadramaut and Al-Mahra provinces in the past days, attributing the escalation to the Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces.
They updated the diplomats on the situation, highlighting the humanitarian impact of the violence, including civilian casualties, displacement, and damage to infrastructure.
Arman stated that the violence has resulted in 2,358 documented human rights violations, including 44 killings, 49 injuries, and 60 cases of arbitrary detention.
The government has called for international investigations and accountability for those responsible.
Vice Foreign Minister Noman highlighted President Rashad al-Alimi's efforts to restore security and stability in Aden and enable state institutions to serve citizens.
The diplomats expressed support for Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and emphasized the importance of respecting human rights and achieving stability and peace.
