DAMASCUS-SABA
The Republic of Yemen participated in the opening of the 63rd Damascus International Fair, held at the Conference Palace in the Syrian capital, Damascus, in the presence of Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, senior Syrian officials, heads of diplomatic missions, and representatives of participating countries and institutions.
During the opening ceremony, Chargé d'Affaires of the Yemeni Embassy in Syria Mohammed Baakr visited the Yemeni pavilion and reviewed its exhibits and products, which reflect the diversity and distinctiveness of Yemeni products.
Baakr said Yemen's return to the Damascus International Fair comes within efforts to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two brotherly countries, revitalise channels of trade and investment exchange, and open new opportunities for Yemeni products and companies to access foreign markets, particularly the Syrian market.
