President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, praised the active role of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom in hosting the Maritime Security Conference in Riyadh, attended by over 40 countries.
"This conference marks the start of a qualitative partnership enhancing security of our waterways, renewing our strong commitment to counter-terrorism, transnational threats, and protecting our people's interests and national security," President al-Alimi stated on X platform.
The high-level conference will officially launch the Joint Secretariat for Maritime Security in Yemen, a new international overture aiming to enhance maritime security, combat smuggling, piracy, and human trafficking
