Saudi Arabia's Cabinet has strongly condemned what it called baseless allegations and false accusations made by the Houthi militia, reaffirming the Kingdom's continued support for the Yemeni people and their internationally recognized government.
Meeting under the chairmanship of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Cabinet said the militia's involvement in regional conflicts serves its own agenda and has contributed to prolonging the suffering of the Yemeni people while undermining regional security and stability.
The Cabinet reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting Yemen and its legitimate government, adding that the Kingdom will continue taking all necessary measures to safeguard its security and protect maritime navigation in accordance with international law and the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
It also renewed Saudi Arabia's solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan over the measures they have taken in response to Iranian attacks, stressing the need for an immediate end to military escalation to preserve the security and stability of the region and its people.
