Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi offered on Wednesday condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar on the death of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Emir.
President al-Alimi and his accompanying delegation were received at Lusail Palace by the Emir of Qatar, alongside Deputy Emir His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the Personal Representative of the Emir His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim and a number of the late Father Emir's sons and members of the Al Thani family.
Presidential Leadership Council member Lt. Gen. Mahmoud al-Subaihi, Speaker of the House of Representatives Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani, Deputy Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission and Minister of State Akram Al-Amiri, and Members of Parliament Abdulwahab Muawadah and Ensaf Mayo accompanied President al-Alimi.
President al-Alimi and the accompanying delegation conveyed the sincere condolences of the Yemeni government and people to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Al Thani family, and the brotherly people of Qatar, praying that Almighty Allah grant the deceased His vast mercy and bestow patience and solace upon his family and loved ones.
