Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, discussed today, in the temporary capital, Aden, with the Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services in Yemen (UNOPS), Mr. Fayyad Rasoul, the office’s interventions during this year, in the fields of water and sanitation projects currently being implemented, and the projects scheduled within the framework of the signed agreements, which exceed 101 projects in various governorates.
The meeting went over the rate of progress in currently ongoing projects and ways to address the difficulties facing project implementations.
The Minister explained the Ministry’s keenness to strengthen joint coordination efforts with UNOPS in a way that contributes to the implementation of water and sanitation projects and the continuity of providing services to citizens in all governorates, stressing the need to focus next year’s interventions towards sustainable projects to meet the needs of the targeted areas.
