Yemen Condemns Iranian Attacks Targeting Energy Facilities in Saudi Arabia and GCC States
[19/03/2026 02:21]
ADEN-SABA
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen strongly condemned the dangerous escalation by Iran involving attempts to target oil and gas infrastructure in the Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

In a statement, the ministry said that targeting critical energy facilities constitutes a blatant violation of international law and an attack on the sovereignty, security, and stability of the affected countries.

It stressed that such actions not only threaten the national security of GCC states but also pose a serious risk to global energy security, supply chains, and the stability of the international economy, in addition to their potentially severe consequences for regional stability and the interests of its peoples.

The ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries, expressing its support for their right to take all necessary measures to protect their security, sovereignty, and vital infrastructure in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.

It added that Yemen, which has long suffered from Iran’s destabilizing policies and interference, believes that continued leniency toward such actions risks undermining regional and international security and could plunge the region into prolonged crises.

The ministry called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to uphold their legal and moral responsibilities by taking firm action to deter Iran and put an end to its destabilizing activities, which threaten regional and international peace and security.
