Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Mohammed Azauari highlighted the need for joining efforts to sustain the Yemeni government's efforts to improve the peoples' living conditions and maintain the economic stability.

Speaking today, Thursday, at the conclusion session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs in Doha, he provided a detailed presentation about the hardships which the Yemeni peoples are enduring as a result of the political crisis and the war triggered by Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup.

He said" Due to the humanitarian crisis and the economic hardships our country has been enduring noted that there some 21.6 million in need of assistance, 17.3 million are lacking food security, 20.2 million lacking health services, 15.3 million lacking cleaning water and sanitation services and there are over 4.3 million Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in a country imports 90% of its basic commodities".
