أكد الأمين العام لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي حسين طه، اليوم الأحد، ضرورة تحرك العالم والمجتمع الدولي لحقوق الإنسان بشكل عاجل لإيقاف عدوان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على قطاع غزة وبقية الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة وبذل الجهود الضرورية لتجنب استمرار الأزمة الإنسانية هناك.

PM, UN Secretary General discuss developments in Yemen

Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik discussed Wednesday with the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Gueterress latest developments in Yemen, especially UN and international efforts for realizing peace and integrating efforts for facing corona endemic.
The two parties also discussed results of the supposed Donor Conference on Yemen 2020 organized by Saudi Arabia and the United Nations.
They discussed through telephone call effects of corona endemic on Yemen and its catastrophic results amid Houthi militia's rejection to all international and government initiatives and calls for joint efforts for facing this endemic.
Banning UN teams by Houthi militia to make maintenance work to Safer Tanker was also discussed.
Abdulmalik and Gueterress discussed during the telephone call mechanisms of coordinating efforts between the government and the UN for finding out joint plan and suitable policies to employ grants and assistances for effective way alleviating suffering of the Yemeni people and ensuring their arrival to needy and protecting assistances against looting or seizure by Houthi militia.
Abdulmalik praised Saudi generous support and organizing the conference in cooperation with the UN reminding that his speech he delivered in the conference tackled making joint plan between the government, the UN and international organizations for employing the assistances aim at limiting corruption of Houthi militia.
He pointed to government acceptance of the UN envoy's call for ceasefire and the government and the Arab Coalition have stopped fighting unilaterally and rejection of Houthi militia to the call, calling the international community and the UN to frankly name the party hindering the ceasefire.
Prime Minister reviewed developments of humanitarian, health and economic efforts and government's efforts despite current challenges, expressing hope that the world will not leave Yemen alone in facing complicating crises.
For his part, the Secretary General confirmed that the ideas made by Prime Minister will be considered to alleviate suffering of the Yemeni people, pointing to continuous efforts of the UN to support Yemeni people and for realizing peace in the country.
He praised positive response by the government and President Hadi towards UN initiatives and calls as well as their keenness on realizing peace.
