Yemen's Permanent Representative to the United Nations here Haitham Shuga'addin discussed Tuesday with Chairman of the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism Masood Karimi means of improving cooperation between Yemen and the UN Office in fighting terrorism.
The ambassador informed the UN official on the latest developments in Yemen and efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in activating security apparatus and fighting terrorism, confirming importance of qualifying Yemeni cadre in field of counter-terrorism.
For his part, the UN official confirmed readiness on supporting and qualifying Yemeni cadre and institutions in field of counter-terrorism.
