Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik has confirmed government's keenness on making solutions to problems faced by traditional fishermen and integration efforts for making use from fishery sector.
In his meeting with representatives of fishery societies and bodies in the Coast of Hadhramout on Friday, Prime Minister showed understanding to all problems and challenges facing fishermen, pointing out that the government will work with local authorities on solving them.
He stressed making swift plans for increasing fishery production in Hadhramout and working on improving fishing environment, including importing improved boats and improving fishery services.
He directed quick activation of the Agricultural and Fishery Production Fund and implementing regulations and laws associated with protection of fishery wealth.
