Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani discussed Monday with Ambassador of the European Hans Grunberg latest developments in Yemen, preparations for implementing Riyadh Agreement and Houthi militia's violations in Hodeida breaching Stockholm Agreement.
Al-Barakani confirmed that Houthis are using every means for hindering peace choices and initiatives made by UN envoy to Yemen, calling on the EU's countries to take serious positions towards Houthi militia's practices and not allowing to them foil hopes of Yemeni people for peace.
He also called on EU for pressuring Houthis to end Safir Oil Tanker crisis.
For his part, the European diplomat expressed rejection to bloodshed in Yemen and violations to agreements as an escalation hindering all peace chances.
He confirmed EU's support to the UN envoy's efforts and peace choices for ending suffering of Yemeni people and keeping Yemen's unity, stability and sovereignty.
