Yemen's central bank condemned the seizure of its cash containers by southern separatists in Aden as the containers were being shipped from the city's port to the bank's main headquarters.
In a statement, the bank said an armed convoy from the Southern Transitional Council, a separatist militia, seized the containers which, according to an agreement with the bank, the convoy was supposed to escort as they get transported from the port to the bank.
The bank warned against "touching any of the contents in the containers", saying it would hold the perpetrators accountable.
