The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations co-organize Yemen donors conference 2020 next Tuesday.
The event is set be held virtually via videoconference with the aim of increasing awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Yemen in order to mobilize the urgently needed financial support to meet the basic needs in Yemen.
Saudi Arabia has called on the donor countries to contribute toward making the conference successful and helpful for Yemen.
Needless to say that Saudi Arabia is the major donor and sponsor of the humanitarian response plans either through the United Nations' agencies or directly.
The kingdom is expected to contribute with $ 500 million to the UN humanitarian response plan in Yemen in 2020, out of which $25 million for countering coronavirus pandemic.
