Cabinet discusses updates on economic, service conditions

Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Breik chaired Tuesday a Cabinet meeting dedicated to discussing updates on economic and service conditions, and coordinated plans with the Central Bank of Yemen to address the decline in the national currency's exchange rate and the deterioration of basic services.

Minister of Industry and Trade Dr Mohammed al-Maitami held talks in Cairo on Wednesday with Regional Director of International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Egypt, Yemen and Libya Walead al-Labadi.

Al-Maitami's conversations with al-Labadi aimed to explore the IFC's support and assistance for the investments in Yemen in the sector of energy and cement, in addition to supporting small and medium industries.
